Human Rights Watch Issues Report Supporting Intersex Children's Rights

Human Rights Watch has issued a 160-page report supporting the right of intersex children to be protected from surgery that is not medically necessary.

The report can be viewed here: https://www.hrw.org/report/2017/07/25/i-want-be-nature-made-me/medically-unnecessary-surgeries-intersex-children-us.

And here is a short HRW press release regarding the report: https://www.hrw.org/news/2017/07/25/us-harmful-surgery-intersex-children.

Back in the late 80's and early 90's, Steven Svoboda worked full-time on-site in Guatemala through the Harvard Law School Human Rights Program and co-wrote a book-length HRW report on human rights violations in that country.
