In October 2001, ARC made submissions to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the British Medical Association regarding deliberations in both bodies related to adopting new circumcision policies. The BMA submission received a response to which we sent an answer. A followup letter was sent to the BMA in April 2002.

Thanks to Amber Craig, April 2003 saw the organized distribution to physicians of a huge quantity of letters entitled “A Caution to Medical Doctors Regarding Child Circumcision” that were signed by ARC, Doctors Opposing Circumcision, and NOCIRC.

ARC also prepared a submission for the Scottish Human Rights Commission’s 2003 Consultation Paper on human rights.
